Auditions
After we receive your application we will send you Your Audition Leaflet, which explains the audition procedure in detail. In brief, if you want to audition for any of the acting/directing courses you will need to prepare all of the following:
- A speech from Shakespeare
- A fable
- A piece of modern poetry or prose
- A song or dance
Make sure that none of your audition pieces lasts for more than two minutes. You must know all of the lines by heart. If you are an applicant from overseas, we accept video auditions
To audition by video, please send the tape or disc (DVD, VCD, SVCD, DV or VHS) with the audition pieces described above. You should give a three to five minute talk about yourself before you do the audition pieces. Include your views on theatre and why you are interested in going to drama school. Please use close-ups, medium and long shots
