Children's Saturday School

Children's drama classes for 5-16 year olds take place every Saturday at the Academy. Your child will be introduced to acting in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Games, exercises and some performance work, together with movement and circus skills classes ensure that whatever profession a child chooses for the future, we will have established a firm basis for creative thought and enjoyment in learning. Classes are held on Saturdays from 10:00am - 1:00pm Cost: £86 per term

Schools and Universities

We have recently developed a workshop/performance visit for Schools and Universities to, not only promote drama but also to teach some practical knowledge of the process of creating theatre. Students who have little knowledge of the inside workings of the profession have found these workshops fascinating. Our feedback shows us we have obviously delivered to an unmet need! Sixth Form and Further Education

Half-day workshops entitled The "Beyond Stanislavski" Seminar are offered to SFCs and FE colleges to introduce young actors to techniques based on Stanislavski's system. Using modern day film stars as examples, we cover the history and developments of the Stanislavski System and introduce the students to simple updates in the theory that can help them in today's demanding profession. Seminars can also be tailored to the requirements of the class. Half-day workshops cost £250.
